How to set up a trunk
Here we will configure pbxnsip through the web interface to properly route both incoming and outgoing calls to and from Callcentric.
Ths information presented in this document is based on version 3.0 (Win32) of the pbxnsip software. This guide assumes that you have installed pbxnsip[1] and that the pbxnsip install steps were completed properly including obtaining the proper license[2]. This guide also assumes that you have administrative access to the pbxnsip administration interface. To log into your pbxnsip admin interface type in your IP address on the web browser.
Trunk Configuration [3]]] In the context of this guide a trunk is used to route calls to or from your pbxnsip PBX and Callcentric
Select Trunks from the navigation options. You will either be shown a list of trunks you have already configured or an empty list of trunks
Enter "Callcentric" into the name field
Select "SIP Registration" as the value for the type
Click "Create"
When the page reloads click on the edit icon next to the trunk you wish to edit, in this case the callcentric trunk.
Enter the following information in the appropriate fields:
- Display Name: 17772830319
- Account: 17772830319
- Domain: callcentric.com
- Username: 17772830319
- Password: xyz
- Outbound Proxy: callcentric.com
- Strict RTP Routing: Off
- Ringback: Media
On your edit trunk screen make sure that your password matches with the registered callcentric.com account This is very important when registering on the trunk page, otherwise you will have an error.
Click Save to add your new SIP trunk to your pbxnsip server
When the page reloads click on the Show List link from the navigation menu to see that your new trunk has successfully registered to Callcentric's servers
On the "ANI" make sure you type in your callcentric phone number If you are redirecting calls to the cell phone, you should use the "Remote-Party-ID" indication, so that Callcentric knows what CID it should display.
You dont need to specify a STUN server or a keep-alive time, because the ITSP will make sure that the PBX will keep the NAT binding alive (if it is behind NAT).
More Information
Callcentric has a web page describing the setup as well. See http://www.callcentric.com/support/device/pbxnsip for more information.
