Uploading prompts

If you want to upload some other prompts you’ll need the use of the SSH tool (you can download it from our web page www.pbxnsip.com/download/ssh.zip), this zip file contains two application tools the SSH Secure Shell Client and the SSH Secure File Transfer. Once these two applications are installed on your Server or PC you need to access both and create the appliance PROFILE.

Put the hostname Name or IP address of the appliance, the username is “root”. It will ask you for a password for an authentication later, it is “root123”, then click the connect button.

Once you are connected, create a new folder for the prompts as follows.

Click on the New Terminal Window to open the SSH Secure Shell Client application window then type the ps –aux | grep pbx command

Kill the PBXNSIP process with the command kill -9 # (the # is the process number)

Once the pbx process is killed go back to the SSH Secure File Transfer window and in the left side of it select the location of the prompts files in your server or PC

Select all files and click the Upload button or with the second click mouse select the Upload option, this action will copy the files to the /root/audio folder directory you’ve created before. Once the files are copied to the appliance prompts directory, go back to the SSH Secure Shell Client application windows and restart the pbx process with the ./pbxctrl-debian3.1 --dir /pbx command Log into the appliance and you should be able to see the new prompt in the drop down list of the CS settings.
