Unidata 7700 Wi-Fi phone

Unidata 7700 (v2.4.0) is a wi-fi phone that is ideal for the voice over IP. Specifications and other details can be found here http://www.udcsystems.com/bbs/board.php?bo_table=z2_2


pbxnsip 4.0 software supports plug and play capabilities for the unidata 7700 series phones.

In order to successfully complete the plug and play for this phone, you have to follow the following steps

  • Power on the phone
  • Reset to factory defaults
  • Setup the phone on your wi-fi network so that it gets an IP address.
    • Search for WLAN networks by Menu->Settings->WLAN Search
    • Select the your wireless network and press "Add" button
    • Input the Admin password when prompted (Default admin password is 000000)
    • Select the security settings from one of the followings - None, WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, WPA-EAP, WPA2-EAP (only None, WPA-PSK are tested so far).
    • Supply the proper authentication information.
    • Select DHCP or Manual IP. If "Manual IP", supply the IP address, netmask, default gateway and DNS (the usual IP interface setup).
  • Once the phone is on the IP network, set the auto-provisioning server address
    • Press Menu->Settings->Admin Menu
    • Supply the admin password (Default is 000000)
    • Select "APS Address" from the admin menu
    • Select the protocol TFTP, HTTPS, HTTP (Only TFTP is tested so far)
    • Set the TFTP server IP (Set this to PBX IP address)
    • Set "Use BOOTP 66 option" to "No". Alternatively, you can set this option to "yes" and let the phone automatically get the TFTP server address from the DHCP response.
    • Press "Set"
    • Reboot the phone

Note: The above instruction set is in the condensed form. For the detailed instructions, please refer to the Admin Manual for 7700.

At this point the phone should reboot, get an IP address from the wi-fi network, contact the PBX for the configuration files and register with the PBX as an extension.
